We are seeking a committed, enthusiastic and inspirational History teacher to join a well-resourced, excellent faculty that has a relentless focus on developing an inclusive and cutting edge KS3 curriculum, and raising achievement at GCSE. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding teacher to raise the profile of History even further within the school, including contributing to curriculum development, lesson planning, organisation of enrichment opportunities, as well as the monitoring of pupil progress across key stages 3 and 4 in order to ensure excellent outcomes for students. There are real opportunities for someone with the energy and ideas to support students in building academic writing, oracy, and critical thinking, as well as widening the spiritual, moral, social and cultural horizons of pupils with innovation.
The right candidate will need to demonstrate strong classroom management skills, have excellent organisational and ICT skills, a high degree of initiative, be able to work independently as well as part of a faculty team, and the ability to motivate pupils and achieve excellent results.
