Fairfield high school is seeking to appoint 2 permanent part time Catering Assistants to work Mondays to Fridays term time only plus 5 Inset days. You will be part a friendly team of 9 catering staff.

Salary is paid on Point 2 - 4, full time equivalent of £22,814 - £23,577 per year (£11.83 - £12.22 per hour).

• Actual salary for 15 hours per week is: £7,955 - £8,221 per year, working 12.30pm to 3.30pm each day

• Actual salary for 25 hours per week is: £13,259 - £13,702 per year, working 10.30am to 3.30pm each day

The successful candidates will assist the Catering Manager, where necessary with:

• The preparation and serving of food

• Transporting and selling of food items and equipment, complying with EHO temperature control regulations, food hygiene practices

• Assist with setting up and clearing the service counter

• Assist in clearing and cleaning the dining room at the end of relevant periods

• Assist in clearing, cleaning, washing up within the kitchen, including ‘deep cleaning’

• Assist in operating the tills and the cashless system and the handling of cash when required
